Decatur: Robert O. Isham, 73, a retired business owner, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, July 28, 2012.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Decatur Church of Christ with Rick Ross and Everett Chambers officiating. Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Cody Duncum, Casey Duncum, Cade Isham, Dennis Lee, Calvin Buchanan, Jeff Jones, Raul Chavarria and Mike Casey.
Robert was born February 6, 1939 in Overton, Texas to Odis and Hazel (Turner) Isham. He received his Bachelor's in Accounting at Arlington State College. Robert was united in marriage to Jeanne Sue Hopper on August 20, 1960 in Arlington, Texas.
Robert was a member of the Decatur Church of Church for 37 years and served as an elder for 28 years. Robert was past President of Wise Regional Health System Board of Trustees, past President of the Decatur Library Board and long time member of the Texas State Historical Society, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants; and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Left behind to cherish his memory are wife of 51 years, Sue Isham of Decatur; daughter, Angela Duncum and husband, Mark of Decatur; 2 sons, David Isham and wife, Karen of Decatur; and Mark Isham and wife, Joy of Fort Worth; 6 grandchildren, Cody Duncum and wife, Christina, Casey Duncum, Cade, Jaci, Katie and Gracie Isham; 2 brothers, William and Royce Isham; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Clinton Duncum.
