Aurora ~ Robert J. "Bob" Phinney, 80, a retired road construction superintendent, went to be with our Lord Saturday, October 12, 2013 at his home in Aurora.
Graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Aurora Cemetery with Father Reehan Antony officiating. There will be no visitation.
Bob was born on April 20, 1933 to Monty and Jennie (Gracey) Phinney in Black River, New York. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Bob married Donna Sabourin on July 4, 1957 in Clayton, New York. He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Francis, George, and Joe Phinney.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Donna Phinney of Aurora; his sons, Robert J. Phinney, Jr. of Aurora, Daniel Phinney and wife Gail of Rochester, New York; his granddaughters, Jennifer Rasbury, Sabrina Spurrier, Katrina Phinney, and Jennifer Pittsley; his grandson, John Allred; his great grandsons, Corey and Jared; his brother, Richard Phinney and wife Hope of Burlington, North Carolina.; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
