Boyd ~ Robert Morgan Stokes, 74, of Boyd died Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Denton, Texas.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Deep Creek Cemetery in Decatur with Pastor Jim Hartin officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Robert was born March 6, 1940 to John Morgan and Ruth Bernice (McKee) Stokes in Rhome, Texas. He married Judith Graham on August 1, 1965 in Lightfoot, Virginia. They were married 33 years till her passing in 1998.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Christina Anderson and husband Robby of Bowie, and Lisa West and husband Earnie of Azle; son, Bobby Stokes of Boyd; 7 grandchildren, Marissa Stokes, Brett Stokes, Robert Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Earnie West, Jr., Tiffany West, and Crystal Davis; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jim Tom and Ricky Stokes; sister, Mary Shiflett; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
