Memorial service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gerre Joiner officiating.
Barney was born October 23, 1945 in Brumheller, Canada to Charles Ellis and Ellen (Derry) Stone. He married Sharon Arlene Wilson on August 31, 1962 in Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada. Barney was employed with Devon as a subcontractor in the seismic operations.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Stone of Trophy Club; his son, Tracy Edward Stone and wife, Karen; his two granddaughters, Marissa and Danielle Stone all of Lacombe, Alberta, Canada; and his two brothers, John Stone of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada and Terry Stone of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada.
