Robert Anthony Walvoord

A Celebration of Life service is 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30th at the United Methodist Church in Rhome.

Robert was born September 1, 1964 in Richardson, Texas to William Dexter and JoAnna (Corbett) Walvoord. He married Cydney Martin on February 3, 1990 in Keller, Texas. Robert was a former volunteer fire fighter for the Lindale Fire Department and a certified rescue diver. He was preceded in death by his father.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Cydney Walvoord of Newark; three daughters, Jennifer Kirby of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Diane Jacobs and husband, Morgan Wise, Justin Lara and husband, Toni both of Newark; son, Shawn Kirby of Fort Worth; mother, JoAnna Walvoord of Mineola, Texas; brother, Joel Walvoord and wife, Shelley of Lindale, Texas; eight grandchildren, Alex, Cross, Deeanna, Kara, Donavin, Christiana, Cydney, and Nevaeh; a niece, a nephew and a host of friends.

Cydney and family,

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your husband and father. I have not known you and Justin (and of course baby Cydney) very long but have come to treasure our monthly Keno get together at the church. Your family is in my prayers.
