Boyd: Roberta Chapman Montgomery, 72, a retired aide for Sunny Hills Nursing Center, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 29, 2010, in New Braunfels.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church in Boyd with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Keeter. The Reverend Larry Chapman to officiate. Pallbearers: Bill Smith, Jonas McEntire, Chad Hightower, Harry Lamance, and Vince Estel. Honorary Pallbearers: Raymond Patterson, Lyndal Chapman, Lance Chapman, Troy Wenzel, Jason Wenzel, and Jimmy Boehm.
Roberta was born April 25, 1938 to Raymond and Theola (Bergdorf) Patterson in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was a Baptist and active with Boyd Senior Citizens Community Center. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Monty Ray Chapman and Harold Dean Chapman; and sister, Joyce Beatles.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Fennell and husband Jim of Canyon Lake; son, Orval Chapman of Canyon Lake; sisters, Francis Wenzel and husband Tom of Norman, OK, and Louise Chapman and husband Larry of Harrah, OK; brother, Ronny Patterson and wife Marellen of White Settlement; 5 grandchildren, Andrea Taliaferro and husband Brad, Candi Chapman, Andy Chapman, Brandi Cameron and husband Tim, and Corey Wade Chapman; 6 great grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Katlyn, Robby, Catherine, and Kelli; special daughter-in-law, Sharon Chapman of Boyd; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Roberta was a special person. I remember her well in high school at Carnegie, Ok. We were classmates in the class of 1955. Rest in peace Roberta. I will miss you at the reunions.
