Robert "Bob" Wayne Chapman

Bridgeport ~ Robert “Bob” Wayne Chapman, 63, went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, August 25, 2023, in Bridgeport.

Bob was born on September 19, 1959, to parents Ed Chapman and Janice (McDaniel) Chapman Garrett in Bridgeport, Texas. Bob was a dedicated and hardworking individual who retired from the oilfield industry after many years of service. Bob was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors. Bob will be fondly remembered by family for his adventurous spirit and his love for nature. Bob was saved and Baptized at the First Baptist Church of Paradise. Bob was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be missed dearly.

Bob is survived by two daughters. His eldest daughter, Brianne Spidle of Paradise, and his youngest daughter, Shenna Aucoin and husband Jeremy Aucoin of Houston, Texas.

Brianne, in turn, gave Bob the joy of being a grandfather to her two daughters, Lexy Spidle and Shaelyn Spidle. Shenna also gave him two granddaughters. Bob is survived by his father, Ed Chapman of Paradise; his siblings, Paul Chapman and wife Charlotte of Paradise, Texas, Judy Spraberry and husband Mike of Dallas, TX, Janett Lamb of Paradise, and Blake Chapman of Paradise, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death, by his mother, Janice (McDaniel) Chapman Garrett, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms along with both sets of his grandparents.

A private memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on a later date. May he rest in peace, forever hunting in the fields of eternity.
