Paradise ~ Rodney "Charles" Rhine Sr., 73, a welder, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Paradise with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Gary Dimmitt and Rev. David Kelly will officiate. Pallbearers include Cody Hubbard, James Hubbard, John Schedcik, Rainer Mundy, Patrick Mundy, Matt Rhine, and Garrett Rhine. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Hudson, Lonnie Hobby, and Carl Miller.

Charles was born on March 16, 1940 to A.C. and Frankie (Miller) Rhine in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Jan Pitcock on July 21, 1967 in Pampa, Texas. Jan preceded him in death on August 3, 2007. Charles served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Rhine Welding.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan; his sister, Claudia Marion; and his brother, Art Rhine.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Liz Hubbard and husband James of Decatur, Brandi Schedcik and husband John of Alvord; his sons, Bill Mundy of Paradise, Homer Mundy and wife Nelda of Paradise, Rodney Rhine and wife Michelle of Fort Worth; 21 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his brothers, Ronnie Rhine of Paradise, Jerry Rhine of Justin; his sister, Joy Cogburn of Amarillo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
