Decatur ~ Rolando Chavez, 40, went to be with our Lord Friday, May 28, 2021 in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Mass of Christian burial is 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Alex Galindo, Angel Galindo, Carlos Galindo, Vic Romo, Eduardo Romo, and Lorenzo Juarez.

Rolando was born November 7, 1980 to Alberto and Armandina (Romo) Chavez Sr. in Decatur, Texas. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Chavez Sr.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Armandina Chavez of Decatur; his brother, Alberto Chavez Jr. of Little Elm; his sister, Violeta Chavez of Little Elm; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and a host of friends.
