Ronald Preston Lane

Bridgeport ~ Ronald Preston Lane, 81, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Bridgeport Texas.

Ronald was born on July 16, 1941 to Letha Shaw and James Lane in Hereford, Texas. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Hammonds on June 5, 1987 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Ronald retired as a truck driver and was an original member of the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Connie Lane.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Marjorie Lane of Bridgeport; his son Jeffrey Lane, his daughters, Sherri Janas, Kelly Kitch and husband Kevin, Karen Howell and husband Keith; his step-daughters, Tonyia Canales and Julio, Tammy Simpson and husband James; 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
