CHICO -- Ronald Wilkins, 65, a retired Air Trafic Controller went to be with our Lord Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in Chico.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Chico. Burial: Cumby Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Saturday.
The Reverend Ron Redding and the Reverend Larry Potts to officiate. Pallbearers: Gaylan Whetsell, Mitch Terrell, Royce Terrell, Brian Terrell, Aaron Biffar, Jesse Wayne Wilkins.
Ronald was born November 1, 1943 to Jesse and Jimmie (Pebworth) Wilkins in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Beverly Whetsell on June 9, 1968 in Chico, Texas. Ronald served his country in the U. S. Coast Guard. He was also a Baptist.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Beverly Wilkins of Wichita Falls; his son, Jesse Wayne Wilkins and his wife Denise of Sunset; his daughter, Angela Michelle Wilkins of Wichita Falls; 2 granddaughters, Priscilla and Elizabeth; his parents, Col. Jesse and Jimmie Wilkins of Chico; 2 sisters, Pamela Rohr of Chico and Patti Wilkins Biffar of Krum; numerous aunts uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
