Chico ~ Ronny Thomas Jr., 40, a heavy equipment operator, went to be with our Lord Friday, May 16, 2014 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bro. Jimmy Williams will officiate. Pallbearers include Mike Hartsell, Jamie Connell, Les McCain, Chad Richardson, Charles Tolliver, and Jeff Harris.
Ronny was born on May 30, 1973 to Ronnie Sr. and Shiela (McCord) Thomas in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Shiela Nielson on March 1, 2014 in Lake Bridgeport. Ronny proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shiela Jeffries; his uncle, Richard Thomas; and his stepmother Alice Thomas.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Shiela Thomas of Chico; his children, Rebecca, Christopher, and Chelsie Thomas of Chico; his father, Ronnie Thomas Sr. of Lake Bridgeport; his brother, Mike Thomas of Lake Bridgeport; numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members, and a host of friends.
