Rosalie (Mann) Gregg

September 17, 1920 — May 31, 2022

Decatur ~ Rosalie Mann Gregg, 101, went to be with our Lord May 31, 2022. Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Decatur with burial at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Melvin Lee Clay and Jimmy Don Taylor will officiate.

Rosalie was born September 17, 1920 to John Patterson and Lona Estella (Butler) Mann in Hayden, New Mexico. She was united in marriage December 16, 1945 to Robert Nolen Gregg, Jr. in Draco, Texas. Rosalie was an executive director for the Wise County Heritage Museum for many years in Decatur, Texas and on the Historical Commission since 1965. Rosalie was a chairwoman for the museum for over 47 years.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, JP and Lona Mann; her husband, Robert N. Gregg, Jr.; her brother, Votie Mann.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her daughters, Sherry Harris of Decatur, Jill Eder and husband Richard of Paradise, Zane Weaver and husband Richard of Sabinal, and Dana Brooks and husband Phillip of Decatur; 9 grandchildren, Audra Barrett, Ashley Sohl, Nolen Weaver, Tyler Weaver, Jacob Weaver, Caleb Weaver, Justin Brooks, Bethany Yoder, and Kendra Carroll; 26 great-grandchildren; extended family members and a host of friends.
