CHICO -- Rosie Beard, 88, a homemaker, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in Bridgeport. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rosie was a member of the Carpenter Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alice Cullins; her husband, S.L. Beard; her son, George Beard; her granddaughter, Azia D. Grisham; her great granddaughter, Shannon Hofacet; 4 brothers: Raymond, R.B., Roland, and Reacie Cullins; 3 sisters: RubyFlynn, Rena Beard, and Radie Nicolas. Survivors: Daughter, Treva Grisham and husband, Bill of Chico; sons, Jerry Beard and wife, Joyce of Bridgeport, Levert Beard and wife, Suzie of Bridgeport, Ronny Beard and wife, Pie of Sanger; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Reba White of Skidmore, Texas. Pallbearers will be: Richard Vidal, Randy Nocolas, Ricky Nicholas, Brady Beard, Jody Roberts, John Spreke, and Coit Harris.
