We had dinner with Roy and Louise in Houston early this spring. He was optimistic and upbeat (his normal attitude). However, he was also very confident in his belief in the Lord come what may. I hope the family finds peace knowing how strong his belief was.

Love,
Dana, Marianne and Fred Gibson

The 4th of July for many is a day of celebration
To all Americans it is a symbolic day of freedom
For us it is a day of togetherness that will never be forgotten
Until we are all in heaven and get to see him
He was a husband, brother, father, grandpa, and friend
On Independence Day that came to an end
He is not the type to want us to grieve
But reflect on what he was able to achieve
He was kind and gentle and a friend to all
A friend that would not allow you to fall
He would go out of his way to help a stranger
And always protected his family from danger
From this day forward on the 4th of July
When we look to the fireworks in the sky
We will not be sad
For we will remember and celebrate the life of our dad

Hello this is Brandy Peyton, Curtis Peyton's wife (Gwen's son). We wanted to let you know it was after the fact when we found out before lunch yesterday or we would have been there for the services.
When we meet with Roy it was after Gwen's death and he was helping us with some things and Roy and his wife was so sweet to us. Curtis was so glad to get to meet with Roy and he told him some stories about his father and it really touched his heart.

If you all need anything at all please let us know. We are praying for strength to lift you all up each day. Just know Roy is in peace and God Bless everyone! :)
