Boyd ~ Royce "Dean" Holt, 66, a retired retail manager, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Denton.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Brother Robert Dodson will officiate. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Dean was born on November 5, 1944 to James and Pansy (Taylor) Holt in Fort Worth, Texas. He liked to camp, fish and spend time with his family, especially his grandson. Dean was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna Jean Hodgkins and husband Glen of Boyd; his grandson, Jered Paul Hodgkins of Boyd; and his best friend, Charlotte Street; other relatives and a host of friends.
