Roy Lynn Caraway, 56, of Revere, Massachusetts, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Revere surrounded by his family.
Memorial service to be held at a later date.
Lynn was born January 31, 1967 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1985. In 1988, Lynn began his career with Delta Airlines. He worked as ground crew and parts at DFW before becoming a flight attendant in 1995 based in Boston, MA. Lynn fell in love with Boston and moved there soon after. A few years later, he transferred to the office at Boston Logan as flight attendant supervisor. However, Lynn missed being in the air and wanted to travel internationally, so he transferred back to inflight in New York before finally going back to Boston. Lynn retired in 2023 after 35 years with Delta and leaves behind many cherished friends. In 2003, Lynn met Ricardo Flores. The two shared twenty years of companionship and adventures together.
Lynn lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling and was able to see much of the world. Some of Lynn’s favorite trips were to Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Israel, London, and Greece. He enjoyed a New Years Eve riverboat cruise on the Seine River in Paris, relaxed on the beach in Riviera Maya, cruised the Greek Islands, rode camels to the pyramids in Egypt, floated in the Dead Sea, saw where Moses delivered the Sermon on the Mount, and explored the ancient city of Petra. Lynn loved spending time with his family, playing games, cooking, listening to music, and going to concerts. He was beautiful on the inside and out; compassionate and caring with a wonderful sense of humor, and a laugh that will be remembered by many. Lynn was a beloved partner for 20 years, son, brother, uncle, and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, John Caraway; and Welo Raul Flores.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his partner, Ricardo Flores; his mother, Kathy Tidwell; his brother, John Caraway; his sister, Deanna Poole and her husband Gregg; nephews, Casey Caraway, Cody Caraway, and Austin Poole. He is also survived by Ricardo Flores’ family: Sylvia Flores, Sonia Flores and husband Winston Garza, Alexander Flores, and Megan Garza; numerous cousins, his Delta family, and a host of friends.
