Ruben James Dunlap

Bridgeport ~ Ruben James Dunlap, 20, went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Denton.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with burial in The Mexican Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Gary Demmitt will officiate. Pallbearers include Jesus Rodriguez, Ray Garza, Jacob Garza, Braden Liner, Chris Kuhlman, Carlos Martinez, Jonathan Garza and Joshua Martinez.

Ruben was born on May 2, 1997 to Eugene and Maria (Garza) Dunlap in Decatur, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Dunlap; his grandparents, Grandpa Bud Dunlap; Granny Ann and Grandma Hope Garza.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Maria E Garza of Bridgeport; 2 brothers, Anthony Smith and Travis Dunlap; his sisters, Maranda Smith and Chelsie Smith; his girlfriend, Kendra Smith; his step father, Randall Smith; his grandpa Lorenzo Garza; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
