DECATUR -- Ruby Lee Smith, 98, a homemaker, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, in Denton.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Van Gardner and Rev. Bill Hughes to officiate. Interment will be in Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Cliff Lambert, Ronald Lambert, Rodney Lambert, Joe Smith, Terry Del Rio, Jacky Del Rio
Mrs. Smith was born July 28, 1909 in Waxahachie, TX to William Stanley and Minnie Holleman Lambert. Mrs. Smith was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 Grandson, Michael Smith of Arizona; 3 Great Grandchildren, Carrie Lavohn, Joe Smith, and David Shane Smith; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Smith; Son, James William Smith; 2 Grandchildren, Jimmy Preston Smith and David Weber Smith.
