Decatur ~ Ruby Frances Solomon, a retired secretary, went to be with our Lord Monday, October 30, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Aurora Baptist Church with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate. Pallbearers are Michael Solomon, Zack Bone, Vernon Solomon, Lucas Solomon, Kyle Solomon, and Ward Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Donny Worthington, Kyle Copp, Brad Adcock, and Ronnie Shockey.
Ruby was born on June 11, 1929 to Lawrence and Mamie (Tulley) Bragg in Cedar Hill. She was united in marriage on June 6, 1947 to Felix Vernon Solomon in Kaufman County. Ruby was a member of Aurora Baptist church for more than 60 years. She retired from being a secretary at Northwest ISD after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Michael and Rick Solomon; her sisters, Jo Kimsey, Evelyn Pinson, and Onida Kimsey; and her brother, Eldred Bragg.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Terry Solomon and wife Terrie Lynn of Aurora and Steve Solomon and wife Margie of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, Michael Solomon and wife Mellissa of Trophy Club, Stacie Robinson and husband Ward of Peaster, Zack Bone of Fort Worth, Vernon Solomon of Aurora, and Lucas Solomon of Aurora; her great grandchildren, Morgan Robinson, Micah Solomon, Kyle Solomon, Rickie Robinson, Carter, Aden, Ellis, and Grace Boclair; her sister, Betty Solomon of Azle; other relatives and a host of friends.
