Russell Duane Sprowls

Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Saturday, April 20th at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. In Pennsylvania, family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23rd at Campbells Funeral Home in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Graveside service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24th at Beaver Falls Cemetery.

Russell was born November 25, 1931 to Charles and Harveda (Shroutz) Sprowls in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Lou Sprowls; his stepson, Kevin Conner; and his brothers, Thurlin and Gaymon.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Alfred Sprowls and wife Juanita of Galion, Ohio, Lester Sprowls of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Chester Sprowls and wife Dottie of Baden, Pennsylvania; his daughters, Carol Allen and husband Jim of Washington, Pennsylvania, Alberta Johnson of Sheffield Lake, Ohio and Veda Thomas and husband Don of Bridgeport; his stepsons, Jimmy Conner and wife Nora of North Lima, Ohio and Charles Conner of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; his stepdaughter, Karen Conner of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his sisters, Jean Mourino and Arlene Belknap both of Ohio; other family members and a host of friends.

Veda and Donnie,

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I got such a kick out of him watching the UT / A&M game at Dad and Murtie's this last Thanksgiving. He loved his football. I hope you can find comfort that he is not suffering any longer. I love you both and you are in my heart and prayers.
