Ruth L. Bastow was born Aug. 12, 1921. She was a resident of Trinity Care Center of Bridgeport. She moved to Rochester, N.Y., at the age of 16 and by age 23 she started a 31-year career with the Tobin Packing Company. She moved to Olean, N.Y., in 1974 and retired from AVX Ceramics in 1982. Ruth loved life and she would always speak her mind. To know her was to love her. There was never any doubt as to what she thought or if she was thinking of you. She loved her hobbies of bingo and the Atlantic City casinos. Her love for her son was very strong. When asked her secret to living a long life, she with out hesitation would answer, "I don't want to leave you all alone." Till our souls unite, you will be deeply missed.
