Funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday, July 28th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Monte Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Allen Cooper, David Sherman, Randy Sherman, Scott Sherman, Bret New and Therman Tarver.
Ruth was born on January 17, 1925, in Forestburg, Texas, to Fred and Carrie (Gentry) Maples. She married A. B. Cooper on May 12, 1943 in Marietta, Oklahoma and was married 55 years before his death in 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Steve Cooper and wife, Christine of Justin, Archie Cooper and wife, Althea of Weatherford; daughters, Judy Boner of Decatur and Janice Holbert and husband, Harley of Chico; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Nettie Mills of Brewster, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
