Ruth Lorene (Elliott) Deweese
May 3, 1944 — February 10, 2016
Boyd ~ Ruth Lorene Deweese, 71, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2016 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Both visitation and service will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Boyd, off Highway 51. Visitation is Friday, February 12, from 6-8 p.m. and Funeral Service on Saturday, February 13 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery, Springtown.
Brother Terry Terry will officiate. Pallbearers include Ty Beauchamp, Cole Beauchamp, Dalton Deweese, Chad Pinson, Rob Rogers and Will Wilkerson.
Lorene was born May 3, 1944, in Wharton County, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth Steel and daughter Sheri D. Rucker.
Survivors include husband of 38 years, Jerry Deweese; daughter, Lori Pinson and husband Ken; son, Rob Beauchamp and wife Stacey, son, Doug Deweese and wife Michelle; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great -great grandchild; brother, Ken Steel and wife Marla; sister, Johnnie Shirlene Wilson and husband Billy Terrell, and sister Joyce Huddleston and husband Kelly.
