Ruth Elizabeth (Mcgovern) Limme

Decatur ~ Ruth Elizabeth Limme, 92, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Decatur.

Graveside is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Bethel Cemetery, in Decatur. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. Charles Pugh will officiate. Pallbearers include J.D. Limme, Graylen D. Limme, Jr., Vernon Blankenship, Kevin Dickenson, Mango Eddie, Jacob Chester, and John D. McGovern.

Ruth was born on February 28, 1927, to John Abram and Lou Ella (Kellum) McGovern in Denton Creek. She was united in marriage to Earl David Limme on December 22, 1952 in Lewisville, Arkansas. Ruth was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Cottondale. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse of 55years; her brothers, Garland D. McGovern, and Kenneth Jackson McGovern; her sister in law, Nadine McGovern.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, David Limme and wife Frances of Decatur, and Graylen Dennis Limme Sr. and wife Carolyn Sue of Fort Worth; her granddaughter, Karen Limme of The Colony; her grandsons, J.D. Limme and wife Angela of Bridgeport, and Graylen Limme Jr. of Fort Worth; her sister-in-law, Dortha McGovern of Moore Oklahoma; her niece, Kathy Blankenship of Moore Oklahoma; her nephew, John Douglas McGovern of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of friends.
