PARADISE -- Ruth Meadows, 71, went to be with her Father on Monday, August 27, 2007, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cottondale Church Of Christ. Burial: Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Gerald Cleveland, assisted by Danny Russell. Pallbearers will be Joe Bolin, Otis Chitwood, Terry Self, Lonnie Adams, Jay Foster, and David Pearson.
Ruth was born on Jan. 28, 1936 in Denton, Texas to Virgil and Carrie Mae (Powell) Sutherland. She married Raymond Meadows on Feb. 7, 1959 in Hurst, Texas. Ruth was a member of the Cottondale Church of Christ.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ed Sutherland.
Survivors: husband of 48 years, Raymond Meadows of Paradise; son, Ronnie Meadows and wife Dianne of Seguin, Texas; grandchildren, Wesley and Kelby Meadows of Seguin, Texas; brothers, Jack Sutherland of North Richland Hills and Jerry Sutherland of Fort Worth; sisters, Peggy Williams of Hurst and Margie Boyels of North Richland Hills.
