Decatur: Ruth Nell Woolaver, 82, a retired floral designer, passed away, Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Denton, Texas.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Ruth was born October 7, 1930 in Levelland, Texas to Aubrey and Ruby Ethel (Hatfield) Bryan. She was united in marriage to William Francis Woolaver on May 5, 1951 in Decatur, Texas. Ruth was a member of the Church of Christ.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, William "Bill" Woolaver of Decatur; four daughters, Carrol Johnson and husband Roger of Rhome, Theresa East and husband Wayne of Decatur, Patricia Green and husband Mike of Fort Worth and Ja-nice Woolaver and husband Jim Slagle of Austin; brother, John A. Bryan of Idabell, Oklahoma; sister, Dorothy Whittington of Arlingto; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Bryan and two sisters, Mattie Harlow and Barbara Bryan.
