Sallie Suzanne (Reed) Clark

Sallie Suzanne (Reed) Clark, 78, formerly of Runaway Bay, passed away peacefully after battling with breast cancer November 22, 2019 in Richland Hills.

Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 7, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Sallie was born June 8, 1941 to Milton Carrol and Edna Roberta (Zirkle) Reed in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1960 and later relocated to Big Spring, Texas. Sallie was united in marriage to Howard D. Clark for 32 years, they lived in Runaway Bay for 15 years. She was a Sunday School teacher, substitute teacher and worked at several banks, local and in Ft. Worth. Sallie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, who enjoyed quilting. She touched many lives with her kindness, leaving an impact on all those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard D. Clark Sr.; her son Kenneth Phillips; her daughter Anita Clark; her sister Mary Jo Clark; and her brother, Thomas Reed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amanda Pultz and husband Jerry, Paula Yeathermon; her son, H. David Clark Jr. and wife Anna; her daughter-in-law, Kathie Phillips; her grandchildren, Kelcie and Halie Pultz, Lauren Phillips, Aiden and Liam Clark, Tyler Yeathermon and wife Lisa, Corey Lewis and husband Daniel, Paul Southerland and wife Sam, and Cris Hogan and wife LaDonna; her great-grandchildren, Seth and Colton Phillips, Prince and Phoenyx Pultz, Garrett and Natalie Southerland, Linnea and Leila Yeathermon, and Dean, Evelyn and Eleanor Lewis; her brother, Bill Reed and wife Patsy; and her sister, Alice Hahn; extended family and numerous friends.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent and respectfully requests for those who desire to honor Sallie's memory to send a gift in her name to the American Cancer Society (link below).
