Newark ~ Sam F. Martin, 62, a plumber went to be with our Lord Monday, December 16, 2013 at his home in Newark.
Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Rhome Assembly of God Church with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Jeanne Evans will officiate.
Sam was born on March 16, 1951 to Frank C. and Norma (Bryce) Martin in Lubbock, Texas. He was united in marriage to Debra Sue Kiser on January 23, 1980 in Hurst, Texas. Sam was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Kathy Smith.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Debbie S. Martin of Newark; his sons, James F. Martin of Newark and Jeremy W. Martin of Granbury; his daughter, Sabrina J. Martin of Ft. Worth; his grandchildren, Sammy G. Martin of Fort Worth and T.J.; his sister, Linda Richard of Round Rock; other family members and a host of friends.
