Samantha was born July 30, 1993, to Charles "Tom" Rogers and Eva Black in Bedford, TX.

For all that knew her, she was beautiful and had an awesome sense of humor, a heart of gold, and a smile that made your day and lit up a room.

Dear Eva and family,

I have been gone now from Alvord for 2 years but was back "home" on Halloween. Maci, Madi and Samantha were out running and came by my old house and stopped and gave me hugs. Her smile was ever present. She brightened the room but you know that as she brightened your life for 17 years. I lost my husband earlier this year but it can't compare to losing your child. Please know that you all are in my prayers and I truly pray that each passing day you can remember that smile and it will bring more joy to your life than tears.

May God add his blessing to each of your days.

I just want to extend my most sincere sympathies to the families of these 2 girls. There is nothing that can hurt a parent more than burying a child but just know that the Lord has a very special plan for your child. I buried my son in 1993 and keeping my faith is what has kept me sane. I know that God has a plan and I am not the type to question Him. Faith has kept me going and I pray that it will do the same for you. We have an awesome God and although you may wonder today, He will never lay anything upon you that He won't get you through. Put your trust in Him and know she is in safe hands.
God bless.

Theresa
