Decatur: Samuel Curtis Brazeau, Sr., 73, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3rd at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Interment: Bethel Cemetery. Family visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include, Randy Bramlett, Curtis Barclay, Brandon Climer, Dustin Brazeau, Jim Bob Hampton and Wendell Cauthan. Honorary pallbearers include Ronald Womack and Paul Wager.

Sam was born November 28, 1938 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to Eugene Phalen and Mary Isabelle (Shafer) Brazeau. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Bishop on June 16, 1960 in Gainesville, Texas.

Sam was a heavy equipment operator for 43 year and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 178 in Fort Worth. He loved to restore pickups, especially the 1955 and 1956 models.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Brazeau; his son, Sammy Brazeau; his daughter, Pam Climer all of Decatur; three brothers, Leo, Max and Dan Brazeau all of Chippawa Falls, Wisconsin; two sisters, Edith Parr of Beloit, Wisconsin and Diane Bishael of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren, Curtis Barclay, Brandon Climer, Dustin and Bailey Brazeau.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to any of the Wise County Veteran's organizations.
