Boyd ~ Samuel Dennis Vincent, 82, a retired maintenance employee went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Springtown.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, March 30th at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rev. Steve Benard will officiate. Pallbearers include Jake Stapleton, Derek Bone, Rocky Tackett, Steve Tackett, Greg Tackett and David Reid.
Samuel was born on November 7, 1929 to Samuel and Lenna (Billingsley) Vincent in Mansfield, Texas. He was united in marriage to Ruby Faye Smith on June 28, 1949 in Boyd. Samuel worked in maintenance and retired from the Texas Highway Department. He was a devoted family man and loved to fish.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby and his son, Jerry Don Vincent.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Samuel D. Vincent and wife Darla Jean of Springtown; his granddaughters, Lisa Reid and husband David of Newark, Stacey Stapleton and husband Jake of Boyd; his grandsons, Johnnathan Warren of White Settlement and Jason Warren of Graham; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Josh, Matthew, Ethan and Aries; his sister, Ruby Vincent of Graham; his brother, Willy Vincent and wife Nelda of Chico; other family members and a host of friends.
