WEATHERFORD -- Sandra June Bowyer Jones, 47, a dispatcher for West Fork Tank Trucks, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials: Morris Memorial United Methodist Church or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund.
Pallbearers: Richard Perry, Kirby Elenburg, Rod Engleman, Deroy Bennett, Victor Monjaraz, and Scott Bowyer. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Runaway Bay Ladies Golf Association.
Sandra was born in Great Bend Kansas to June and /Eugene Bowyer. The family moved to Chico in 1964 where Sandra attednded Chico schools and graduated in 1977. She married Norman Jones on June 3, 1977 in Chico. They were blessed with two children: Aaron, born in 1980 and Asheley, born in 1987. She was a member of the Morris Memorial United Methodist Church and the Runaway Bay Ladies Golf Association.
Survivors: Husband, Norman Jones; son, Aaron Jones and fiancee, Jessica of Charlotte, S.C.; daughter, Ashley Jones of Weatherford; parents, Eugene and June Bowyer of Chico; and brothers, Bill Bowyer, Doug Bowyer and wife Bunny, and Steve Bowyer.
