Blue Mound ~ Sara Alice Carpenter Bobo, 76, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bro. Roger Rhodes will officiate. Pallbearers are Chris Moreno, Aaron Moreno, Zachery Bobo, Della Bobo, Jesse Aguila, and Nick Carpenter.
Sara was born on October 25, 1934 to Jess and Della (Green) Carpenter in Bridgeport. She married John Bobo on January 15, 1954 in Bridgeport.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, John Bobo on April 16, 2011.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Philip of Arlington and Stephen of New Orleans, Louisiana; her daughters, Cindy, Karen, and Leslie all of Fort Worth; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.

You have my deepness condolences on the passing of our mother Sara she was a great lady. I remember all the times I spent at the house on Fagan St in Blue Mound. I know she will be truly missed.
