Sara Jo Cozad Griffitt

Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Sara was born January 14, 1961 to William and Betty (Blackman) Cozad in Iowa City, Iowa. She lived most of her life in Muscatine, Iowa before moving to Texas in 1998. Sara married Larry Brent Griffitt on March 7, 2006 in Fort Worth. She enjoyed spending her time with her husband and grandchildren. Among her many interests, she loved to fish, go shopping, and play games on Facebook.

Sara is preceded in death by her father; her sister, Sheila Gray; her brother in law, Randy Gray; and her sister in law, Kimberly Butler.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Brent Griffitt of Azle; her daughters, Christina D. Huber of Boyd and Trisha Huber Aguirre of Muscatine, Iowa; her stepchildren, Amber, Stacey and Jennifer Griffitt; her grandchildren, Zachary, Samantha, Braelyn, Martaviuz, and Russhell; 9 step grandchildren; her mother, Betty Mae Cozad Browning; her sister, Carolyn Hidlebaugh and husband Butch; her brothers, Rick Cozad, William Cozad, Jack Cozad, and Raymond Cozad and wife Cindy; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
