CHICO -- Sarah Heisler, 84, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2008 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morris Memorial Methodist Church in Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday. Rev. Elaine Bussey will officiate. Pallbearers: Jonathan Nutter, William Heisler, Charles East, Wayne East, John Bernard, and Cecil Dobyns.
Sarah was born on September 8, 1923 to Jesse J. and Mame (Chappell) East in Fort Worth. She served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She married Bill Heisler on January 4, 1946 in Racine, Wisconsin. Sarah worked in sales at Pneumatic Scales for over 19 years. She was a member of the Morris Memorial Methodist Church in Chico.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a one year old son, Robert Heisler, a brother, Duey East and a sister, Ola Walker.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her son, William Heisler and wife Julianna of Hollywood, Florida; her daughters, Brenda Nutter and husband Jon of Longview, Martha Heisler of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Heidi Figel and husband Anthony of Las vegas, Nevada; 7 grandchildren, Christine, Ted, Melanie, Daniel, Tonya, Natasha and Amanda; 3 brothers, James, Willie, and Eddie East; 2 sisters, Earnestine Risk and Linnie East.
