Decatur ~ Sarah Davis Jorgenson, 77, a retired bookkeeper, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016, at Victory Family Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pastor Alan Bates and James Wood will officiate. Pallbearers include Pam Wood, Mary B. Howard, Gloria Hutton, Susan Hewett, Barbara Roark, Lori Reeves, Jennifier Parsons, Debbie Workman, Maxine Loafman, and Emma Reeves. Honorary Pallbearers are Shirley Wood, Jane Dozier, Billie Perrin, Paula Seals, Jim Howard, and David Seals.
Sarah was born on May 2, 1938 to Gordon and Florine (Eubanks) Davis in Mexia, Texas. She was united in marriage to Wallace F. Jorgenson on July 17, 1978 in Decatur until his passing. Sarah was a member of Victory Family Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Jorgenson.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Tony Brown of Fort Worth; her daughter, Shelby Ivy and husband Rick of Ponder; her step-daughter, Jennifier Parsons of McKinney; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Brown and wife Kaleigh, and Austin Brown; 1 great grandchild, Jack Brown; her sisters, Linda Valcik of Plano, and Florence O’Bryan and husband Charles of Denton; her special friends, Thomas Chambers and wife Barbara of Parker, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
