Rhome: Sarah Marie Pond, 50, a cashier at Taco Casa in Decatur, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, March 21st at First Baptist Church in Decatur with Reverend Ken May officiating. Interment: 3 p.m. Monday at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Irving, Texas. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include David Rackley, Clifton Hamilton, Michael Michele, Matthew Michele, Billy Gatlin, Bruce Votolota, Larry Bryant, and Sean Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers include Dan Mallory, Greg Hartman, and Rocky Duron.
Sarah was born December 5, 1960 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Johnny Toney and Marie (Phillips) Michele. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are three daughters, Amanda Hamilton and husband, David of Keller, Mona and Bryanna Pond both of Decatur; son, Sean Hamilton of Irving; mother, Marie Michele of Rhome; father, Johnny Michele of Irving; four grandchildren, Kya, Brittney, Charles and Elora; two brothers, Charles and John Michele; sister, Mamie Gatlin; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
