Boyd ~ Scott Nichols, 40, a construction contractor, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Boyd.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, August 30th, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with a private burial. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Terry Terry is officiating. Pallbearers include Alton Frame, Jordon Nichols, Buddy Hatley, Terry Smith, Ted Watts and Eric Kirby. Honorary pallbearers are Teresa Murach and E.R. Roberts.
He was born on November 13, 1971 to Willie and Cora (Smith) Nichols in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Lori Walker on August 6, 1990 in Boyd. Scott attended schools in Boyd ISD and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his son, Michael David Nichols and his grandmother, Alene Johnson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Lori Nichols of Boyd; his sons, Jordon Nichols and wife Brittany of Fort Worth and Sawyer Nichols of Boyd; his daughter, Adrianna Nichols of Boyd; his father, Will Nichols of Fort Worth; his mother, Sam Walker and husband Don of Boyd; his sisters, Cathy Roberts and husband E.R. of Robert Lee, Texas, Peggy Sue Farley of Fort Worth, Tommie Jane Kelly and husband Bobby of Mineral Wells, Beth Smoot of Alvarado; other family members and a host of friends.
