Scotty George Gale, Sr.

Bridgeport ~ Scotty George Gale Sr., 86, went to be with our Lord Monday, February 17, 2020 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in West Bridgeport
Cemetery. Military honors provided by the Wise County Veteran’s Group. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Chris Hobbs will officiate. Pallbearers are to be Bryan Gale, Michael Gale, Joey Hobbs, Jr., Billy Walker, Stephen Walker, and J.B. Giles. Honorary Pallbearers are to be Rodney Dunn and Ryan Dunn.
Scotty was born on June 22, 1933 to Scott and Iola Mae (Oness) Gale in Los Angeles, California. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Scotty worked for many years for Peterbilt, Kenworth and H.B. Zachary as a mechanic, truck driver and electrician.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Giles.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Scotty Gale, Jr. and wife Shirley Mae of Paradise; his daughters, Debbie Hobbs and husband Joey Sr. of Bridgeport; and Elizabeth Giles and husband Bryan of Weatherford; his 8 grandchildren, Michael Scott Gale and wife Kimberly, Bryan Scott Gale and wife Wynema, Babby Dunn and husband Rodney, Joey Hobbs Jr. and wife Rebecca, Chris Hobbs and wife Morgan, Stephen Walker and wife Whitney, Billy Walker and wife Julie, J.B. Giles; his 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way; his sister, Geri Wood of Tucson, Arizona; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
