Paradise ~ Shannon Weldon Mitchell, 41, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 9, 2024 in Paradise.

Graveside Service is 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 17th, at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Shannon was born on July 5, 1982 to Lloyd Weldon and Jacqueline Lillian (Snipes) Mitchell in North Richland Hills. He graduated from ITT Tech Institute and worked at North Texas Marine in Fort Worth as a mechanic. Shannon was a beloved son, father, brother, nephew, grandson, uncle, cousin, and a friend to many that will miss him very dearly.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lilly-Ann Grace of Killeen; his parents, Lloyd and Jacqueline Mitchell of Paradise; his sister, April Mitchell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his brother, Shawn Mitchell of Keller; his grandparent, Mary Reed of Bowie; his aunts, Debra Greer of St. Cloud, Florida, Julia Blakeney of Pageland, South Carolina, Victoria Bass-Owens of Wewahitchka, Florida, Vella Alexander of Early, Texas, and Anissa Stamps of Fort Worth; his uncles, John Owens of Wewahitchka, Florida, Steve Snipes of Panama City, Florida, Cage Bass of Fort Worth, Bill Alexander of Early, Texas, and Jeff Stamps of Fort Worth; his friends, Melissa Bridges, co-parent to Lilly-Ann, Michelle Malone, Jeff Kinser, Jason Handke, Mark Herrick, and Melissa Riegel; numerous other relatives and a large host of friends.
