Ft. Worth ~ Sharon Ann Monroe, 82, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 7, 2024.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sharon was born October 21, 1941 to Willie Eulus and Lillian Carrlee (Taylor) Stewart in Richmond, California. She was retired from Dillard’s after many years in Distribution. Sharon was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lillian Stewart; 2 sisters, Edna Earl South and Dorothy Langston; and her grandparents, Renda and Emmett Taylor.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cathy Freeman and husband Kerry of Burleson, and Lisa Henson of Alvord; her sons, Tony Monroe of Ft. Worth, Robert Monroe of Ft. Worth, and Jason Monroe and wife Michelle of Ft. Worth; 9 grandchildren, Julianna, Eraka, Stefanie, Jessica, Michelle, Ashley, Taylor, Austin, and Aryon; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Sandra Lane and husband Mike, Sue Hathaway, Joyce Lucas, and Linda Barker; her brother, James Stewart and wife Waverly; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
