Decatur ~ Sherrie Gay Simpson Amey, 51, a CDL operator, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery in Chico. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Nichols Easley will officiate.
Sherrie was born on February 15, 1965 to Royce and Lynda (Smith) Simpson in Denton, Texas. She was a commercial drivers license operator.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sabrina G. Amey of Decatur and Tiffany Amey of Audubon, New Jersey; her brothers, Dale Simpson and wife Michelle of Paradise and Marcus Simpson and wife Venetia of Decatur; her sisters, Rhonda Taliaferro and husband Rick of Newark and Laurie Delgado of Decatur; her grandsons, Michael, Kameron, Braydon, and Remington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
