Paradise: Shirley Marie Brown, 82, a retired nursing home administrator went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Paradise. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2010 at Paradise Cemetery with the Reverend Larry Potts officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Alfred Brown, Robert Brown, Pat Brown, Red Thompson, Paul Neu and David Uselton.
Elois was born January 5, 1928 to George Earl and Leila (Humphrey) Burdick in Athens, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. She is preceded in death by husbands, Arnold Heard, Jack Denton and Foy Brown; daughter, Teddy Joyce Harris; granddaughter, Nikki Faye Edwards and sister, Madeline Everett.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert C. Heard and wife Roseanna of Boyd, Roy J. Heard and wife Charlene of Paradise; stepchildren. Alfred Brown, Carolyn England and Rhonda Edwards; 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister, Eleanor Kerr of Paradise; several nieces and nephews.
