Bridgeport ~ Shirley Dale Edwards, 60, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Kenneth Wood will officiate. Pallbearers include Rocky Loper, Bobby Davidson, Lawrence York, and Rodney Dunn.
Shirley was born on November 25, 1955 to Hoyt and Helen (Gaundy) Davis in Fort Worth. She was united in marriage to Ronnie Edwards on September, 2, 1977 in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Hoyt Davis; her sister, Beverly Taylor; and her grandson, Jake Walkup.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Ronnie Edwards of Bridgeport; her sons, Jason Edwards of Chico, and Blake Edwards of Bridgeport; her daughter, Trina Gilfeirt and husband Chris of Kansas; her grandchildren, Marissa Edwards, Shelby Edwards, and Chloe Edwards; her sister, Diane Adams and husband Lonnie of Paradise; her father-in-law, Gene Edwards of Bridgeport; her brothers-in-law, Terry Edwards of Argyle, and Donnie Edwards and wife Anita of Bowie; other family members, and a host of friends.
