Decatur: Shirley June Scott, 75, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28th at Community Church with Rev. John Redfearn officiating.
Shirley was born on October 8, 1936 in Peoria, Oklahoma to Vern Thomas and Myrtle Ruth (Cheeffey) Kaylor. She was united in marriage to Charles Douglas Scott on January 20, 1956 and was married 51 years at his death on July 12, 2007. Shirley was also preceded in death by her sister, Nickey Bigheart.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Sandra Dalton of Southlake, Rae Craig and husband Rick of Keller; son, Dennis Scott and wife Rosalinda of Decatur; sisters, Mildred Austin of Springfield, Missouri, Juanita Gregg of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas; brother, Vern Thomas Kaylor, Jr. of Canton, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
