Fort Worth ~ Shirley Laverne Welch, 81 went to be with our Lord Monday December 5, 2022.

Memorial Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 17, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Brother Jack Cook will officiate.

Shirley was born December 11, 1940 in Troy, MO. to Luther C. and Elsie Louise (Kronung) Corless. She was united in marriage to James Dale Welch on February 5, 1965 in Salem, MO. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Shirley was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Dale Welch; and brother, Arthur Corless.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Barry Welch and wife Belenda of Boyd, James Keith Welch and wife Kimberly of Boyd, Russell Travis Welch and wife Heather of Ft. Worth, 2 daughters, Angela Lynne Watson and husband Ricky of Ft. Worth, and Cathy Jeanne Parsons of Ft. Worth; 10 grandchildren;6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
