Bridgeport ~ Sofia Delgadillo, 70, a homemaker went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Bridgeport.
Funeral Mass is 3 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport with a Christian burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m., rosary will follow 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Father Sojan George will officiate. Pallbearers are her sons, Jose Delgadillo, Gabino Delgadillo, Juan Delgadillo, Leonardo Delgadillo, Jesus Delgadillo, Refugio Delgadillo, Francisco Delgadillo, and Israel Delgadillo.
Sofia was born on September 18, 1940 to Bibiano and Maria Silbinia (Gonsales) Martines in Rancho Viejo, Mexico. She was a member of St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church for many years.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Jose Zacarias Delgadillo and wife Reina of Bridgeport, Gabino Delgadillo and wife Josefina of Bakersfield, California, Juan Delgadillo and wife Magdalena of Bridgeport, Leonardo Delgadillo and wife Hilaria of Paradise, Jesus Delgadillo and Leticia of Bridgeport, Refugio Delgadillo and wife Maria Guadalupe of Pasco, Washington, Francisco Delgadillo and wife Maricela of Lynnwood, Washington, and Israel Delgadillo and wife Maria Elena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her daughters, Hilaria Gonzales and husband Vale of Sylmar, California, Veronica Gonzales and husband Domingo of Fort Worth, Josefa Delgadillo De Santiago and husband Jose of Mechuacanejo, Jalisco, Mexico, Maria De Lourdes Garcia and husband Julio of Bridgeport, and Maria De Los Angeles Delgadillo and husband Nestor Mendoza of Fort Worth; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
