Decatur ~ “Sonny” William Coy Burk, Jr. went to be with our Lord February 19, 2021 in Decatur.

Graveside is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sweetwater Cemetery.

Leonard King is officiating. Pallbearers include Jeff Knepp, Tony Redwine, Larimie Redwine, Brayden Peck, Travis Robinson, and Ken King. Honorary Pallbearers include Mark Arnold, and Guy Collins.

William was born on February 2, 1937 to William Coy, Sr. and Lilly (May) Burk in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Ellen Vail on February 3, 1967. William was a truck driver and was a member of the Baptist church.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Ellen Burk of Decatur; his daughter, Belinda Funnelle of Decatur; his sons, Dale Burk of Decatur, Ronnie Burk of Krum, Jesse Glenn Burk of Decatur; 3 granddaughters,  Sierra Peck, Brianna Robinson, Sunny Brooke Burk; 1 grandson, Justin Burk; 5 great-grandchildren, Bralyn Peck, Sayler Peck, Rylan Peck, Kanyon Peck, Gracelyn Rose Robinson; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
