Chico ~ Stanley Wayne Carthel, 74, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Friday, August 30, 2019 in Decatur.

No service at this time.

Stanley was born on May 28, 1945 to John Ed and Eula Jane (Jackson) Carthel in Bremerton, Washington. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Stanley was a member of the Church of Christ, and a beloved father, greatdad, pawpaw, brother, and friend.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his stepson, Alan Brewster and wife Kathryn; his daughters, Shauna Rankin of Amarillo, Leslie Clark and husband John of Alvord, and Kelly Martin and husband Chris of Chico; his sister, Pam Carey of Boise City, Oklahoma; his long time friend, Mary Fellows of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Sierra, Mariah, Jordy, Kaylon, Lacey, Morgyn, Katy, Cara, Colton, and Jacie; numerous great-grandchildren, family, and a host of friends.
